Next time you go through your closet think of these following tips for advice on what to wear to remain professional looking yet still business casual.
Stylish Suits – Maybe you’re not a big fan of wearing suits and the company you work for doesn’t require them to be worn but if you have an important customer or client coming in for a meeting or sales pitch, wear a suit. Make sure you wear a nice one too and not something that looks like your going to a Christmas formal. Pick out fashionable colors such as traditional gray, navy and black. If you want to be a little trendy, earthy tones such as brown, taupe and khaki green are making a comeback. The trick you want to remember is to spice up your suit through wearing color under your suit with shirts colored light blue, indigo, orange, beige, and even mauve. This look gives you the appearance of liveliness and adds a personal touch.Button-down Shirts – When it comes to wearing button-down shirts, the old adage of less is better works here. Your shirt should not be busier than your workload. Opt for solid dress shirts with no pattern. If you do go for one with print, always make sure it involves stripes. Sometimes, check patterns even look stylish, but they should to be faint and subtle rather than loud and obnoxious. Knits – According to all the men’s fashion magazines, it’s all about the neckline this upcoming fall and winter season. You’re going to notice more and more men sporting knits with funnel necks, turtlenecks, mock necks, V-necks, crewnecks, zip downs and polo necks. Let’s just say, you’re going to see a lot of knits.
